Wishing for Winter [Challenge Post]

So, I live in Pennsylvania. We haven't had much snow this year, and it kinda pisses me off. So, I thought if I would paint my nails wintery, we would get some snow!

ANOTHER new technique for me! [Challenge Post]

OMG... I just cant even.... OMG

HOW AWESOME IS THIS?!

Colors Used: China Glaze - Reggae to Riches, Revlon - Not So Blueberry, and Funky Fingers - White Scales

 I tried a gradient before, but didn't use the right kind of sponge apparently. I think this turned out AWESOME... Just... WOW... I never cease to amaze myself! What do you all think?

About That Lost MIni Challenge...

 I wish my brain was functioning enough to give a good and clear description of my nails right now. I'm sick, and heavily medicated (weee) which might be a good thing now that I think about it...

 Currently on my nails is a flurry of color.

Pinky to Thumb: Art club psychedelic dream dots over funky fingers [ light purple], Avon (not mine) Cotton Candy under LA Colors blue glitter, kleancolor crackle green (not mine, but I think I might steal it) over MK Coral Stone, Expressions Girl Green under Sally Girl In Love (chunky pink glitter), Art Club electric universe X over Funky FIngers [DARK PURPLE]

All fingers have MK Gold Leaf and Orly Oui, THUMB TO PINKY: stripe rite [purple glitter] dots, China Glaze Ruby Pumps "L", Ruby Pumps "half", Art Club Sunny "web", Stripe Rite Neon Pink "Star?", Funky Fingers Purple Glitter (cant really see it) and China Glaze Ruby Pumps "Square"

Craziness!!!!! 

I'm actually not completely revolted by my nails. I was planning on doing a Mary Kay "series", but that got scrapped. I cant use any of these colors anymore, until the challenge is completely over.

Bleh, and W-O-W! [Challenge Post]

I started out my weekend by painting my niece's nails. While they turned out great, unfortunately, I messed up my own polish in the process. Since I was going to Christmas dinner on Saturday afternoon, I got up early, and quickly picked out two "no name" polishes. Both are minis, part of larger sets. I don't know the names of them. While it didn't turn out bad, my thoughts on this color combo are... bleh. 

I have no idea what I was thinking. However, the greenish/ teal tip really did smell like cotton candy... until I put my Seche Vite top coat on. Which reminds me... the yellow... SMELLS HORRIBLE. The smell is worse than Seche Vite. 

I kept this polish on for about 6 hours before I couldn't stand looking at it anymore...

Now, for the WOW.


 My first attempt at taping turned out quite well! I used Sally Hansen Grass Slippers under Funky Fingers Purple Scales (crackle). For the accent nail, I used Color Club (or Art Deco depending on where you look at the bottle) Holo Glitter liner. I definitely see more taping projects in my future!

Nails for the sis and niece...

 So, this weekend was a busy weekend, but I still managed to get some nails painted!



 Dear World,
 I present to you, my eldest niece, V-Dog:

Not sure what colors these are. Its a China Glaze and a Funky Fingers...

Unfortunately, when I did her nails, I messed up the polish from my manicure on Thursday night. So I had to redo my nails (see next post for that.)

Now, on to my sister. On NYE I painted her nails 2 shades of bright pink. A few days later, she took the polish off, and I was going to redo them. She "meh"-ed and said she really didn't like her nails painted. To me, her nails are like... my messiah. Long, strong, healthy. And she doesn't even do anything to them! UGH!

But Saturday, after getting home from Christmas dinner (yes...) at my dad's, she let me do a french manicure. We started around 6pm, and finally finished at 9pm. I had a ridiculous time with the guides, and her nails not being dry. It was frustrating, but I still enjoyed it, cause I got to paint nails.

ANYWAY... they did turn out really well, and she love them:

Challenge Post: The professional mani

 I managed to pick 2 possible options for this manicure. If you remember, when getting a professional manicure, I have to use my own polishes.

 So off to Platinum Studio we go! Rabbit was getting his hair cut by Sarah, while I got my nails done by Crystal.

 We decided on the Revlon Ocean Breeze, with Funky Fingers Gold Scales crackle over top.

The Revlon is supposed to be scented when dry, but I honestly don't smell anything except nail polish. Also, for being what I consider a "cheapie" brand, I like how the Funky Fingers crackles...erm... crackle more so than the others I have tried.

All in all, I think Crystal did a great job! Thanks!!!!
