Why hasn't anyone told me about Icing before now?!!

While Rabbit took the kids to Justice, Panda and I went over to Icing (we didn't know what it was, other than it was owned by Claire's).

We were not in the door for 10 seconds before I had 3 bottles of polish in my hands... I am in love...

"Mini" Haul, and V-dog learning the art of nail shopping...

Monday, Panda, Rabbit, V-Dog and I went out to dinner, and I made them stop at the local Sally's... it was in the same parking lot!

I did really good! I actually didn't find anything I wanted. Then Panda and Rabbit went outside... some how I managed to find all of this:

And V-Dog has been watching Jerseylicious  a little bit too much, and found 2 sets of press on nails. Granted... they are totally awesome! She also found a cute little kitty nail file! I actually spent more money on her than I did myself! Woot!

Below is the first set of nails V-Dog got. Unfortunately they only lasted about half a day. By the time she got home from school, 4 of them had fallen off. Oh well!

Messed up Mani time! [Challenge Post]

On Sunday, I wanted to do something different. Here is the result:

FINALLY Got to Paint Panda's FINGERnails!

Panda's job doesn't allow her to have her fingernails painted! While I find this atrocious, and could never do it, some how she manages. Her toes are another story. We are always making plans to paint her toesies (notice I say PLANS because we usually don't get to do it... damn crazy schedules!)

On Friday night Panda came over after work, and since we were going on an ADVENTURE Saturday, we thought it would be a PERFECT time to paint her fingers! And so we did!

These are both OPI polishes, but I don't remember at all...

Pretty good pictures right? Well, what if I told you that midway through her manicure, Panda was fast asleep. I have no idea how she did it... and I have no idea how I managed to finish with her pulling her hand back. It was fun! I also have a picture of her painted nails and her fast alseep... but... I'll just keep that for blackmail! Muahahahah!!!!

 I wish my brain was functioning enough to give a good and clear description of my nails right now. I'm sick, and heavily medicated (weee) which might be a good thing now that I think about it...

 Currently on my nails is a flurry of color.

I'm actually not completely revolted by my nails. I was planning on doing a Mary Kay "series", but that got scrapped. I cant use any of these colors anymore, until the challenge is completely over.

Oh god I have a problem...

TL; DR: I bought a crap load more polish.

Seriously? It hasn't even been a WEEK since I have frolicked (yes, I frolicked ask Rabbit... I dragged him along) into Sally Beauty Supply.

I TRIED to be strong. But the pull was too great. THERE WERE SALES!!!! Needless to say... I have pictures!

 Sale 1: Buy a bottle of Seche Vite, get a free China Glaze (I got Tarnished Gold, a crackle) the whitish Orly on the right is Au Champagne, it was on clearance. I had it in my basket on Saturday, but decided against it. Since it was still there, I decided it was fate. More on the glitters in a bit...

 Sale 2: Buy 3 Orly polishes, get $5 off (from L to R: Velvet Rope, Girly, and Wild Wisteria) I also got a bottle of Nina Ultra Pro in Emerald City. It was $2.99, so I figured I would give it a shot. 

To the right of that is Finger Paints FLASHY! My second flakie! This was the LAST bottle of the special effects in the store. I spoke to the girl working and she said they put an order in to get every color. I am just going to admit now that I am going to get the other three...

 I had spied these loose glitters on Saturday, as I was checking out. Since I don't didn't have any loose glitters, I thought now was a good time... Top L to R: Fuschia-licous, Gold Digger. Bottom L to R: Lavish Lavender, Blue Lagoon, Gleaming Green. I'm super excited to try these... in about 3 months...

Remember: CHALLENGE SAYS I CANNOT USE ANY NEW POLISH UNTIL I HAVE USED EVERYTHING I HAVE HAD AS OF 01/01/12...

 This is where the serious "you need an intervention, and rehab" thoughts come in...

We had to stop at Dollar General to get trash bags. I went straight to the cosmetics section...

 This all cost less than $10.00. Art Deco liners in Baby Pink and Magenta. 2 Kiss art stickers (both the same) and 2 bottles of Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Ivy League and Flirt.

 These colors are so opposite. Ivy League is a bright, and Flirt is a dark dark, maroon color. Hooray for me!

Now... Sorry for the long post. I get excited... I have to pick out some nail colors to take with to get my manicure. I am apparently not allowed to use their polishes, because that would be cheating!

The Rules of Engagement

Count of polishes: 163

Count of liners/nail art/ stamps: 55

• No polish worn twice.
• Nail art/liners may be reused after all nail art and liners are used. (Nail art and liners are considered the same “category”.)
• Color is “counted” after being on nail for 10 minutes.
• All polish must be applied in presence of at least 1 challenger.
• All colors must be named, searchable, and photos posted to blog.
• All new polishes can only be used after current supply (as of 01/01/2012) is used.
• Strengtheners, hardeners, base/top coats may be used/ purchased as needed.
• If polish/nail art chips or is damaged, said nail(s) can be repaired unless picked off intentionally by challengee.
• All polishes will be marked with a sticker after used on challengee’s nails.
• Any questions about rules must be asked to both challengers.

 Now, it is 2:40am (EST) on 01/01/2012, I have had 2 glasses of bubbly, and its time for beddy bye! I'll post my list of polishes, etc. (current "supply") tomorrow (later today) as well as my sister's NYE nails! Oh... and my 12/31 haul from Sally and Rite Aid! Happy New Year!

Challenge Considered.

So, I have no idea what I am doing. This blog was created because my friends and family think I am obsessed with nail polish... ppsshhh...

A Brief history (no, really...): After finding www.reddit.com in mid October, I quickly found /r/RedditLaqueristas and thus my "hobby" began. I have never had long nails, and have been a nail biter most of my life. In these few months, my nails have grown to be the longest they have ever been, and I am super excited about it.

With my nail growth has come my polish collection. A week before Christmas my collect stood at 70 polishes. Currently (4 days after Christmas) my polish collection stands at 140+. Yea, that's right... I have DOUBLED my collection in just 1 day!
