Catching up yet again...

So... Rabbit and I now share a computer. At least for right now. A certain 10 year old... knocked a full cup of soda on Rabbit's laptop.

So let's catch up from this weekend...

Kathulhu's nails were done on Saturday morning:

all free hand!

I remembered to get a picture of the colors! I did NOT remember the names...
Next up was Tiny Fingers:

That's rainbow!!!!
And Mom! We used one of my new Icing polishes (look for the haul post next!)

How many people's fingers and toes do YOU paint in a week?!

Introducing White Lightening! [Challenge Post]

My "cousin" White Lightening stopped over tonight. He has been coming around a lot. Another stray into the household. His dog even moved in yesterday. He wants me to tell the world that he really wants to join the welder's union.

Anyway... White Lightening and I grew up together, and have had many adventures together. Stories for another day...

My mani for tonight is "Cougar Attack! Rawr!" Or... that's what I called it anyway.

Can't get a non blurry picture...

Wet N Wild "Cougar Attack" over Finger Paints "It Baroque"
Now... I'm going the fuck to bed!

50th Post! Neat! [Challenge Post]

I'm kind of disappointed that this won't be a long post...

So... since I have to use all of stamps, and there were 5 "heart" type stamps left... I thought... why not do a Valentine's theme. No one will no how long I have had this mani on (well, except for YOU guys!)

Now for some horrible cell phone pictures (seriously... worst yet...)

Colors Used: Sally Hansen Shell we Dance, CQ No Name, Orly Ma Cherie, Finger Paints Watermelon Watercolor, Revlon Cupid, Nicole by OPI Love Your Life

Turned out pretty okay though! Also, notice my middle and ring finger are slightly shorter and more shaped? Yea... I never thought there would be a day that the words "My nails are too long" came out of my mouth...

My sister has better nails than me!

So, Kathulhu wanted to try water marbling...
This is why the most important step of water marbling is TAPING YOUR NAILS!

I have no idea what colors I used... Finger Paints, Savvy, Milani, Sally Girl, Sally Hansen (Remembering the bottles)

Turned out phenomenal!
By the time we were done with her nails, I was exhausted! So I whipped this up:
3 different colored dots: No name Teal (smells like Tropical Fruit!), NYC Empire State Blue (cant really see it) and the little ones are NYC Skin Tight Denim. Base color is Sally Hanson Turquoise Chrome (One of those "pens")

While I do REALLY like my mani, I love Kathulhu's. I am FINALLY getting the hang of water marbling!

Oh god I have a problem...

TL; DR: I bought a crap load more polish.

Seriously? It hasn't even been a WEEK since I have frolicked (yes, I frolicked ask Rabbit... I dragged him along) into Sally Beauty Supply.

I TRIED to be strong. But the pull was too great. THERE WERE SALES!!!! Needless to say... I have pictures!
 Sally Haul 01/04
Sale 1: Buy a bottle of Seche Vite, get a free China Glaze (I got Tarnished Gold, a crackle) the whitish Orly on the right is Au Champagne, it was on clearance. I had it in my basket on Saturday, but decided against it. Since it was still there, I decided it was fate. More on the glitters in a bit...

Sale 2: Buy 3 Orly polishes, get $5 off (from L to R: Velvet Rope, Girly, and Wild Wisteria) I also got a bottle of Nina Ultra Pro in Emerald City. It was $2.99, so I figured I would give it a shot.
To the right of that is Finger Paints FLASHY! My second flakie! This was the LAST bottle of the special effects in the store. I spoke to the girl working and she said they put an order in to get every color. I am just going to admit now that I am going to get the other three...

I had spied these loose glitters on Saturday, as I was checking out. Since I don't didn't have any loose glitters, I thought now was a good time... Top L to R: Fuschia-licous, Gold Digger. Bottom L to R: Lavish Lavender, Blue Lagoon, Gleaming Green. I'm super excited to try these... in about 3 months...

Remember: CHALLENGE SAYS I CANNOT USE ANY NEW POLISH UNTIL I HAVE USED EVERYTHING I HAVE HAD AS OF 01/01/12...

This is where the serious "you need an intervention, and rehab" thoughts come in...
We had to stop at Dollar General to get trash bags. I went straight to the cosmetics section...

This all cost less than $10.00. Art Deco liners in Baby Pink and Magenta. 2 Kiss art stickers (both the same) and 2 bottles of Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Ivy League and Flirt.
These colors are so opposite. Ivy League is a bright, and Flirt is a dark dark, maroon color. Hooray for me!

Now... Sorry for the long post. I get excited... I have to pick out some nail colors to take with to get my manicure. I am apparently not allowed to use their polishes, because that would be cheating!

Before we begin... more polish!

I've had a coupon for Sally Beauty Supply burning a hole in my pocket all week. And based on this week, I know I truly have an addition. I was tired and frustrated, and felt like I was going to have a panic attack at any moment.

I'm feeling much better now...

So, I rounded up my sister, and we headed down to the city. My memory gets a bit hazy at this point, as I entered Sally's. Hours, Days, Weeks could have past... I have no idea. I was enamored and hypnotized by the glitter. By the crackle. By the nail art. I couldn't escape, and I didn't want to.

This is what I managed to snag at Sally:

 The Sally Haul

Above, From L to R: Orly Shining Star, Orly Retro Red, CG Dorothy Who?, Sally Girl cuticle oils (2), Stripe Rite Neon Green , Finger Paints Twisted

Above, from L to R: Finger Paints Twisted, CG Some like it Haute, Sally Girl Chunky Pink glitter, CG Haute Metal (Crackle!), Orly Nailtrition, Sally Girl Neon Pruple, (BACK) Orly Nail Armor
This was the only Special Effect FP they had... and I had to hunt for it... good thing it is the one I wanted!!!

BUT WAIT THERE'S MOAR!

Because I didn't hit my cash limit, and since I needed to get some medicine for a sick Rabbit, we stopped in at Rite Aid on the way home. I must admit, I was a bit unimpressed with the lack of "sales". I did manage to to snag a 1/2 off Sally Hansen Christmas package that has some cool colors, and Revlon colors were buy one get one 1/2 off.
 The Rite Aid Haul
Love her face...

Above: These are the colors that came in the kit. I was a bit skeptical of the pens, but after swatching them on my nails, I am quite impressed! Black pens are chromes (Gold, Purple, Green, Pink, Blue), the White pen is a top coat, and the pink pen is a light pink French Manicure pen. It also came with a bottle of SH Tender Mulberry

Above, from L to R: Revlon Cotton Candy (Scented), Revlon Cupid, Revlon Ocean Breeze (Scented), Revlon Not So Blueberry (Scented), SH Virtual Violet, and SH Spectrum, oh and a crystal nail file!

I think I need to invest in a better camera than my cell phone... these colors are phenomenal!

Yea, I have a problem... whatever!
2 layers deep, and getting heavy...
